Academic Board 2006/2010

The Academic Board had its beggining of mandate at 8th of February 2006 and is composed by:

Dean of Faculty, who presides;
Vice-President of Academic Board;
Vice-President of Teaching Standards Committee;
Directors of Departments;
Directors of Research Centers;
Other members, distributed this way:
- A third part, rounded for the immediatly higher integer, of cathedratic teachers or doctorate researchers-coordinators;
- A third part, rounded for the immediatly higher integer, of associated teachers or principal doctorate researchers;
- Assistant teachers or auxiliar doctorate researchers, till to complete the total number of members of the Committee.

This Committee works in:

Plenary;
Co-Ordinating Commission;
Eventual Commissions, expressly composed for satisfaction of legal requisites that require certain types of qualified votings.

The Plenary has the following competences:

To approve the regulation of the Academic Board;
To propose to the competent bodies of UP the attribution of honorific academic degrees;
To give opinion about all the subjects that are submited by the Dean, by the President of the Academic Board or by the Co-Ordinating Comission of the Faculty.
